SAN ANGELO – Angelo State head women's basketball coach Renae Shippy has announced the signing of junior college transfer point guard Asia Davis.

"We are so excited to welcome Asia Davis to the Belle Basketball family," Shippy said. "She is a competitor with experience playing in championship games and displays all of the characteristics of a winner on and off the court.  Asia is special because she is a floor general that can really score the basketball in a number of ways.  We believe we will be able to continue our program's winning tradition with the addition of Asia and the experience and leadership she will bring."

Davis, originally from Midwest City, Oklahoma, spent two seasons at Collin County. She averaged 9.4 points per game and 3.0 assists per game as a sophomore.  As a freshman, Davis scored 13.5 points per game and made 36.6 percent from the field.
