The Lady Cougars won their first three games of the season handily, putting up wins of 18, 37 and 26 points over Paris Junior College, Eastern Oklahoma State and Murray State respectively.
Collin's women went 31-66 from the field and 77.3 percent from the stripe against Paris JC in the Lady Cougars' 83-65 win. Jordynn Hernandez led the team with 22 points, but all team members scored in the game. Briana Marshall and Jasmine Jackson combined for nine steals.
Collin had a balanced attack in its 93-56 win over Eastern Oklahoma. Destiny Thurman led scoring with 16 points, but was followed by Jackson and Marshall with 15 each. Mikayla Alexander, Jalah Walton and Hernandez each scored in the double-digits. The team went 26-31 from the line in the free throw heavy game.
Collin defeated Murray State College 67-41 on the road. Marshall led scorers with 15 points, followed by Thurman with 13. Marshall also led the team in rebounds with nine.
