Collin Tennis will host some familiar teams for the Southwest JUCO tournament, April 12-13. Southwest JUCO will welcome Tyler College, Barton College, Cowley College, New Mexico Military Institute, Jacksonville College (men), North Central Texas College (women), Laredo College and Seward College.

Collin has faced six of those opponents so far, with the women's team taking wins away from Barton College and the men collecting victories in two tilts against Jacksonville. Collin's teams have been up and down in other matches, but are in a good place after wins against the University of the Ozarks, March 29 (photos)

The Collin women's team won 6-3, with convincing 8-1 and 8-2 doubles wins by the teams of Sydney Albro/Andra Farris and Makeilah Turner/Savannah Turner. Farris, Rebekah Clark and Taylor Chapman went on to blank their singles opponents 6-0 in back-to-back games.

The men's team won its match 9-0. John Edwards and Kameron Dehart also shut out their opponents in singles games, while Chris Doyal and Kevon Webb pulled the same trick in their doubles game. The teams of Edwards/Hector Flores and Dehart/J.C. Garrido went 8-1 and 8-2 respectively.

The games were a little tougher against Texas Wesleyan, April 5, but Collin's men again won 9-0. Collin's teams lost 9-0 each to Tyler Junior College, March 22.
