Get to know your Collin College student athletes in this regular feature. This week, we meet members of the men's tennis teams.

Name: Tristan Vigneron
Hometown: Fontenay le vicomte, France
Plans after graduation: I plan to transfer to a university to get a degree in business, and then be able to get a good job.
Previous school: University of the Cumberlands, Williamsburg, Kentucky
Do you play other sports? No, I don't really play other sports. I like my sport because of the physical aspect of it. You are able to stimulate a lot of muscles at a time, use strategy, and the mental (aspect) because it is a single sport.
Favorite game: Overwatch
Favorite quote: Do not do anything to anyone that you wouldn't like done to yourself.
Favorite artists: Eminem, Damso, Vald
Accomplishment you are most proud of: I'm proud to have improved my tennis enough to be able to come to the United States to study. I really didn't want to study in France, and it was a big dream for me to come here. I am happy to see how proud my parents are when they look at me, and when they talk about me being in college.
Why did you choose Collin College? After a bad experience in (the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), I decided to transfer, and I wanted to try a junior college. The coach back then, convinced me that this school would be great for me athletic-wise and school-wise.

Name: Tyler Young
Hometown: Burleson
Plans after graduation: To become a sports psychologist/therapist
Previous school: Burleson Centennial High School
Do you play other sports? I played all sports growing up because I wanted to be able to try everything before missing out. I enjoy tennis compared to other sports because it is one of the only individual sports. When you step out you are like a gladiator in an arena, you are alone with a challenger across from you.
Favorite game: Probably Madden. It is incredibly competitive, and I have always been a big football guy. It also allows me to keep up with the season as well.
Favorite quote: "You may see me struggle, but you will never see me quit."
Favorite artist: I would say that Morgan Wallen is my favorite artist, I really enjoy Country music.
Accomplishment you are most proud of: Making this team is my biggest accomplishment. When I came to Collin, I had no clue what would be waiting for me. I was intimidated but was welcomed by the greatest group of people, a coach that believed in me enough to give me a chance, and a team that had my back, who I can now call family.
Why did you choose Collin College? Collin chose me.
