While Collin College's team rankings have remained the same this season, individual players have made strides in the International Tennis Association (ITA) singles and doubles rankings over the past few months.

Larissa Giraldi moved from No. 16 last year to the No. 10 spot nationally among junior college players according to ITA rankings released April 21. 

"She has had either good wins or close matches against every junior college player that she played," Coach Jamie Nanez said.

Also making moves this season was Viktoria Federova, who ranked No. 16 this year after clocking in at No. 38 last year.

"That is a huge jump," Nanez said.

Taking the No. 18 spot in the national rankings for the men is Seth Seely. Seely is new to the team but has impressed many with his play.

The women's team was ranked No. 8 nationally coming into the season. The men's team was ranked No. 5.
