Jennings commits to Baylor University

Collin College Women's Basketball player Waiata Jennings has committed to play for Baylor University starting in Fall 2024.

Jennings, 5-foot-9-inch sophomore out of Rotorua, New Zealand, was named the 2024 Women's Basketball Coaches Association Two-Year College Player of the Year, in addition to being named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-America Team. Jennings played for two years at Collin College, scoring 21.8 points per game, adding 7.6 rebounds per game, and collecting 122 steals in the 2023-24 season. Jennings ranked second in the nation in total points scored and fifth in points per game.

Jennings was part of the Cougars team that secured back-to-back NJCAA Women's Basketball National Tournaments and won the college's first-ever NJCAA Southwest District Title by winning the NJCAA Region V tournament.

Baylor University plays in the Big 12 Conference.
