Name: Jayden Smallwood
Hometown: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Position: Guard
Plans after graduation: Play basketball at the next level
Previous school: McKinney North High School
Other teams played for: Richardson High School
What's your favorite go-to food spot? Piada Italian Street Food
What is the best gift you have ever received? My little brothers
What advice would you give someone who is trying to play sports at the college level? School first, athletics second
What do you consider is the key to success? Controlling what you can control
Why did you choose Collin College? I chose Collin because I thought I would be a good fit here, and Collin has a great program.

Plans after graduation: My plans are to become a pro at the sport.

Other teams played for: I had the opportunity to play for the Puerto Rican National Team twice.
What's your favorite go-to food spot? Chipotle, for a burrito – "I can't really go wrong with it."
What is the best gift you have ever received? I can't really pick one. I am grateful for everything I have.
What advice would you give someone who is trying to play sports at the college level? Embrace the change; Stay true to yourself.
What do you consider is the key to success? Consistency and perseverance  
Why did you choose Collin College? It gives me an opportunity to become a better student athlete and also gives me a chance to play in the States.
