Men’s Basketball beats Temple, falls to Ranger

Collin College Men's Basketball added a home win and a road loss to the 2024-25 season. The team is currently at No. 4 on the North Texas Junior College Athletics Conference (NTJCAC) leaderboard.

The Cougars triumphed 79-76 in a tight second-half contest against Temple College. The visiting Leopards attempted a comeback in the latter period after Collin led by 7 points at the break. Collin shot 44.4% from the field in the game and ultimately delivered the win.

Vinny Sigona led all scorers with 25 points, followed closely by Garrett Falls with 21 points. Brady Kennison, who rounded out the top three on offense, had 14 points and sank half of his three-pointer attempts. Falls had three steals in the game.

The Cougars lost 85-74 on the road against Ranger College a few days later. Sigona again led Collin in scoring with 21 points. He also had seven assists, two steals, and a block. David Emelife followed with 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Falls took the number three spot on offense with 15 points. He pulled down seven boards, had a couple of steals, and three assists.

The team shot 45.2% from the field and 31.3% from beyond the arc in the game.
