The Collin College men's basketball team (21-7, 9-4) defeated Southwestern Christian College 74-68 on Feb. 28 at Collin.
KEY PLAYERS
• David Emelife led the team with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting and 2-of-4 from the free throw line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds (eight offensive, two defensive). He recorded his seventh double-double of the season.
• Kevin Paul added 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting and 1-of-1 from the free throw line, along with a double-double of 10 rebounds (five offensive, five defensive) and three assists.
• Cortlin Siska scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, adding six rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
• Jayden Ramnanan contributed 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-9 from three-point range, along with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
• David Chong chipped in six points on 2-of-6 shooting, including 1-of-3 from three-point range, while adding eight rebounds (two offensive, six defensive) and four assists.
• Fabian Pommells added five points on 2-of-5 shooting, including 1-of-3 from three-point range, plus one rebound and one assist.
• Tyreese Perry-Huggins contributed two points, two rebounds and one steal off the bench.
• Travis Fralin pulled down two rebounds.
GAME NOTES
• David Chong recorded two steals. He has at least one steal in all but two of his 27 games.
• Jayden Ramnanan recorded one steal, his ninth straight game with at least one. He has at least one steal in all but five of his 28 games.
• Kevin Paul recorded five blocks, tying his career high. He also recorded his sixth double-double this season.
• Cortlin Siska recorded two steals, his seventh straight game with at least one.
• David Emelife recorded his seventh double-double of the season.
