David Chong, a 6’1” freshman guard from Dickinson, Texas, was named the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NJTCAC) Basketball Player of the Week. He led the Cougars in scoring during their Jan. 7 win over Temple College and added three steals in the victory. He extended his streak to eight consecutive games with at least one steal and has recorded a steal in 15 of his 16 games this season. Chong leads the team with 38 steals and ranks third in the region in both assists (68) and steals (38).
