Cougars Suffer First Conference Loss to Ranger

The No. 20 Collin College women's basketball team (12-4, 2-1) dropped it's first conference game to Ranger College 63-43 on Jan. 14 at Ranger.

KEY PLAYERS

Ella Macleod led the team with 12 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting performance and added three rebounds.
Gabby Morales scored 10 points and contributed across the stat sheet with two steals and a block, while going 3-of-4 from the free-throw line.
Taliah Martin recorded a strong all-around performance with eight points, a team-high eight rebounds, and a team-high four steals. She also added two assists and a block.
Olivia Grgicevich Lassey added seven points on 3-of-6 shooting and chipped in a steal.
Sara Basaran impacted the game defensively with seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while adding two assists.
Trinity Thomas provided energy off the bench with three points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Mufaro Mapengo added two steals in 16 minutes.
Maya Fowler pulled down a rebound in limited action.
