The Collin College women's basketball team defeated No. 21 Grayson College, 62-58, on Feb. 4, marking the Cougars' second straight top-25 win of the week.
KEY PLAYERS
• Ella Macleod led the team with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-5 from three-point range and a perfect 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. She added three rebounds and one block.
• Sara Basaran recorded 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, knocking down a three-pointer and going 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. She added seven rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
• Olivia Grgicevich Lassey contributed 12 points on an efficient 5-of-8 shooting performance and went 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. She added five rebounds and one block.
• Gabby Morales scored 10 points and added three assists, one steal and one block.
• Trinity Thomas provided four points off the bench, going 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.
• Mufaro Mapengo added three points, three rebounds and two assists.
• Abby Sokolova chipped in two points on a perfect 1-of-1 shooting performance and added three rebounds and two steals.
• Taliah Martin contributed two points and two rebounds.
GAME NOTES
• Olivia Grgicevich Lassey tallied one steal, extending her streak of at least one steal per game to five consecutive games. She's recorded a steal in 16 of her 20 games played.
• Sara Basaran recorded two blocks, tying her career-record in blocks in a single game.
