No. 20 Cougars Handle Rams on the Road

The No. 20 Collin College women's basketball team (18-4, 8-1) defeated Southwestern Christian College, 86-79, on Feb. 9 at Southwestern Christian College.

KEY PLAYERS
Ella Macleod led the team with 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting, knocking down 5-of-6 from three-point range and going 3-of-4 from the free-throw line. She added five rebounds and four assists.
Olivia Grgicevich-Lassey recorded 20 points on 10-of-19 shooting and added a team-high eight assists, along with four rebounds, two steals and one block.
Gabby Morales finished with 17 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting performance and pulled down eight rebounds.
Sara Basaran contributed 11 points and eight rebounds, going a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.
Trinity Thomas added seven points and two rebounds off the bench.
Mufaro Mapengo chipped in seven points and one assist.
Abby Sokolova grabbed five rebounds and recorded one steal and one block.
Taliah Martin added four points and three rebounds.
Maya Fowler collected one rebound and one assist.

GAME NOTES
Ella Macleod went 5-for-6 at the three-point line, tied her season-high in rebounds in a single game (5), and had two steals.
Olivia Grgicevich-Lassey recorded 20 points, which marks her third consecutive double-digit scoring game. She recorded one block, extending her streak of at least one block per game to five consecutive games. She had a season-high eight assists and two steals. Lassey has had at least one steal in seven consecutive games and has had at least one steal in all but four of her 22 games played.
Gabby Morales set a personal season-high in defensive rebounds in a game (7) and tied her record for total rebounds in a single game (8)
Abby Sokolova recorded one steal, her third straight game with at least one steal.
