No. 22 Collin Defeats Cisco in Home Finale

The No. 22 Collin College women's basketball team (22-6, 12-3) defeated Cisco College 59-57 on March 4 at Collin.

KEY PLAYERS
Gabby Morales led the team with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 1-of-3 from three-point range, and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. She added seven rebounds (one offensive, six defensive) and one assist.
Sara Basaran finished with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting and a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line. She also recorded five rebounds, one assist, one steal and a team-high five blocks.
Ella Macleod added 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-6 from beyond the arc and 1-of-1 from the free throw line. She also contributed four rebounds and two assists.
Mufaro Mapengo totaled nine points on 4-of-10 shooting and 1-of-4 from the free throw line. She added seven rebounds (four offensive), three assists and one steal.
Maya Fowler grabbed two rebounds and recorded two steals and one block in 14 minutes of action.
Abby Sokolova pulled down three rebounds and dished out two assists off the bench.
Trinity Thomas added two rebounds, one assist and one steal in reserve minutes.
Georgia Alford scored two points on a perfect 2-of-2 from the free throw line.
Taliah Martin contributed one point, two rebounds (two offensive), one assist and one block.

GAME NOTES
Gabby Morales recorded her sixth game this season with 20+ points. She tied her career high in rebounds in a single game (7).
• Mufaro Mapengo recorded a season-high seven rebounds
Sara Basaran tied her career-high in blocks in a single game (5) one block, and continued her streak of sixth consecutive games with at least one block.
Trinity Thomas recorded one steal, her sixth consecutive game with at least one. She has at least one steal in all but six of her 28 games played.
• Taliah Martin recorded her third straight game with a block

As a team, the Cougars:
• Totaled 32 rebounds (eight offensive, 24 defensive).
• Recorded 12 assists, five steals and seven blocks defensively.
