Cougars Sweep Southwestern Christian, Move into Second Place in Conference

The Collin College women's volleyball team recorded its first sweep (25-12, 25-9, 25-12) of conference play in a match against Southwestern Christian College on Sept. 13 at SWCC.

So. MB Tylisee Brinkley led the team with a career-high 11 kills on 19 attempts, hitting .526, and 11.0 points
So. S Parker Kimbal posted three kills on five attempts with a .400 hitting percentage, 15 assists, one service ace, eight digs, one solo block, and 5.0 points
Fr. DS Emily Torres recorded three assists, two service aces, five digs, and contributed 2.0 points
Fr. OH Jada Baxter recorded her first two kills of the season on two attempts, along with four digs and 2.0 points
Fr. OH Lauren Larkins had three kills, with two digs, one solo block (her fifth consecutive match with at least one block), and 4.0 points
Fr. OH Amaya Carter led with five kills, adding one service ace, six digs, one solo block, and 7.0 points
So. DS Bella Foutz added one kill, seven assists, three digs, two service aces, and 3.0 points
Fr. MB Christian Duncan contributed one kill, one assist, three digs, one block assist, and 1.5 points
Fr. MB Andrea Ortega posted a career-high 15 digs and six kills to finish with 9.0 points
